Poor Best

July 2005 dive

As this site has a NOAA buoy we were able to tie up to the tag line and decend to the sub-surface buoy for a bubble check.  Continuing down we ran into a shock corded poly wreck line that was attached to a chainplate on the wreck at 85'.  Coming along the wreck line you get your first view of EB Allen's bow standing proud of the bottom.  The bottom is littered with her bow sprit and other pieces.   Although the anchors are gone the windlass is intact and in good shape.

Heading back over the deck I was suprised to see how many deck boards are missing. And you can look through the deck beams to see the reason she sunk, a hole low on the port side.
