THUNDER BAY PRESERVE

“Thunder Bay Bottomlands Preserve” means an area located on the bottomlands of the specified boundaries of the Thunder Bay Underwater Preserve and extending upward to and including the surface of the water, which is delineated and set aside by rule for special protection of abandoned property of historical value, or ecological, educational, geological, or scenic features or formations having recreational, educational, or scientific value. The preserve may encompass a single object, feature, or formation, or a collection of several objects, features, or formations.

 

A person shall not handle, recover, alter, or destroy items which are in, on, under, or over the Thunder Bay Underwater Preserve bottomlands.

 

A person who uses watercraft equipment, scuba equipment, sonar equipment, or any other equipment, which violates protection laws of the underwater preserve, subject the involved equipment to forfeiture.
